All club members who volunteer for Gallery duties in Unit 22 are required to undertake mandatory Fire Safety Training. The first of these sessions, conducted by the Facilities Manager at the Kingsgate Shopping Centre was completed on Thursday 31st July and the next is scheduled for Friday 8th August. Gallery volunteers who have not featured in either of the sessions mentioned can contact either Jim Mclure or Syd Reeve for further details. A briefing paper has been prepared and is available in the Gallery.
Members may wish to note that the clubs Annual General Meeting will be held at 7pm on Tuesday 19th August 2014. The agenda will be published and made available nearer the date.
Our thanks to all concerned, organisers, ticket sellers, prize donors and ticket buyers for making the Annual Exhibition Raffle such a success. The funds raised will help the club continue to stage its Annual (Summer) and Winter Exhibitions.
If you have any prize related enquiries, please forward to the club via our Contact Us Page.

Because we have been working towards bringing you the new website, we missed the opportunity of featuring the visit of popular guest artist Aine Divine who came to the club on the 8th May and gave another excellent watercolour portrait demonstration. Club member Irene Whyte was the subject/model for the evening and the completed painting is shown here. You can see more of Aine’s work on her own website via our Links page.

Once again we are looking for donations of items suitable for raffle prizes as well as asking members to sell raffle tickets in advance of the exhibition at a cost of £1 per book of 5 tickets.
There will be two hampers, one with a Scottish theme (i.e. whisky, haggis, shortbread, tablet etc) and we would welcome wines and spirits, chocolates, tins of biscuits, new items of toiletries, jewellery and other attractive items.
A selection of framed original paintings are also required.
Your cooperation is requested to make this the usual bumper raffle which has in the past successfully covered the cost of transporting the screens to and from the Kingsgate. Please contact Anne Hill or Freda Danby at the Club
