This is a reminder to members that Landscape Artist Philip Raskin will give his acrylic painting demonstration at the club on Tuesday 8th December from 7pm until 9pm. Philip is rapidly acquiring a growing and loyal following of collectors throughout the UK and you can view many examples his of work on various websites and online galleries. Members who would like to attend, and have not already done so, can put their name on the listing displayed in the club. There is a £2 (non-refundable) fee payable to the event co-ordinator Jen Manson, no later than Wednesday 2 December.

2016 Calendar Pictures – 12 & 13 of 13
Calendar Picture No 12 (November) is “Limekilns Harbour”, a watercolour painting by Ian Blance. Picture No 13 (December) is “Pattiesmuir circa 1970” in acrylic by Anne Hill. Calendars are still on sale at the club and in the Gallery in the Kingsgate Shopping Centre priced £6. Following a recent ballot, it has been decided that all profits from the sale of the Calendars will be donated Alzheimer’s Research.
Winter Exhibition Begins on Monday
Dunfermline Art Club Winter Exhibition at the Kingsgate Shopping Centre in Dunfermline gets underway on Monday 23rd November and will be open daily until 29th. There will be over 200 original paintings and sculpture items on display, almost all of which are available for sale. There will also be a wide selection of seasonal cards and craft items. The DAC 2016 Calendar will also be on sale, priced £6.
The Exhibition is being staged in the area in front of the main entrance to Debenhams’ store in the Kingsgate Centre. We hope you’ll manage to visit us.

Gallery Christmas Opening
Volunteers are needed to staff the Gallery for extra opening times in the run up to Christmas. We hope to open the Gallery at the following additional hours:
Thurs 17 Dec 1600 -1800
Fri 18 Dec 1600 -1800
Sat 19 Dec 1600-1800
Mon 21 Dec 1200 -1600
Tues 22 Dec 1200- 1600

Kingsgate Gallery – Storage
Members should be aware that due to the limited space available within the Gallery at Unit 22 in the Kingsgate Centre, unsold works should be removed at the earliest opportunity following changeover.

Kingsgate Gallery – Featured Artist
In early October we announced that the Featured Artist initiative begun in March this year is to continue. We are pleased therefore to show the work of the Featured Artist for November, Helen Rowbotham. Helen’s work is mainly landscapes done in Acrylics. Why not call into the Gallery where the work is on display until 21 November.

All profit from the sale of the Calendars will be donated to a charity (to be notified shortly).
Winter Exhibition – Facebook Feature
You may recall that prior to the Annual Exibition this year, the club Facebook Page featured preview pictures of some of the work which would feature in the actual exhibition. With the Winter Exhibition now imminent, it is again time to showcase some of the work that will be on show this year. Accordingly, members are invited to email images of one or two of the paintings they intend exhibiting to k.young@talk21.com The images should be in .jpg format and describe the medium used and the painting title.
