2019 Calendar Paintings 8 & 9
Previews of paintings 8 and 9 from the thirteen chosen to feature in the clubs 2019 Calendar are shown below. They are, Limekilns Harbour, a watercolour by Ian Blance and Inchcolm Abbey, in Acrylic by Irma Brown. The remaining four paintings will be previewed here in further News Posts very soon.
Membership Renewal 2018/2019
September has almost arrived when the new season’s membership fees fall due. The annual subscription for 2018-19 will remain at £35 and becomes payable as from Saturday 1st September 2018.
We feel sure you will agree that the membership fee provides extremely good value. As well as 50 weeks’ of Club meetings in a very sociable environment, members also have the opportunity to exhibit work in the Clubs Gallery in Unit 22 of the Kingsgate Shopping Centre, and have their work featured in two major exhibitions and other events each year.
Payment of fees may be by cash or personal cheque made payable to Dunfermline Art Club. Committee Members will be on hand at the club to receive and record payment and issue your new membership card. A facility to make payment directly to the clubs account via bank transfer is also available if preferred. Details available from the Treasurer.

Townhill Open Days – 7th & 8th September
Secretary’s Message re Townhill Open Days
Following last year’s successful open day at the Townhill Community Centre, we shall be holding a similar event on Friday and Saturday, 7th and 8th September. Set up in the Hall upstairs will take place from 11.30 on the Friday morning ready for opening from 2 pm til 8 pm. On the Saturday, the exhibition will be open from 10 am and will be taken down after 4 pm. It is planned to have members demonstrating their skills in the Studio on the Saturday as per last year. Members will be asked to help with the setting up and to do 2 hour shifts in the exhibition hall or in the Studio. Please look out for notices and further information on the Exhibitions noticeboard in the Studio. Paintings for the Exhibition may be left in the Studio on the Wednesday or brought to the Hall on the Friday morning.

Watercolour Demonstration by Ken Young
We are pleased to announce the third in an occasional series of watercolour demonstrations by fellow member Ken Young. The theme for this demo is “calm reflections”. The two hour session, which is open to all club members, will be on Wednesday 22th August beginning at 7 p.m.
There will be a charge of approximately £3 payable on the night.
