The changeover of work on display in the Club Gallery in the Kingsgate Centre was completed this week and opened to the public yesterday (12th March). Over one hundred works are on show which includes a wide array of subject matter in various mediums and is well worth a visit. A new innovation this month is the inclusion of our “Featured artist of the month” wall whereby one of our members has exclusive use of a section of the Gallery in which to exhibit a wide selection of their work. The featured artist initiative was the idea of Syd Reeve who happens to be the featured artist for the month of March.
A group of club members attended a Pastel Workshop at the Duchally Hotel in Auchterarder last Saturday hosted by prominent artist and author Margaret Evans. The club frequently attends such events which are co-ordinated via Jim McLure’s Monday Pastel Group. Pic above shows a couple of quick demo sketches done by Margaret on the day.
