Townhill Studio

Because of the ongoing Covid situation, normal studio activity has had to be curtailed. Details of the limited arrangements for attending the studio at this time can be found in the “13th January 22 Townhill Studio” posting on our “News Posts” tab. In normal circumstances, members meet year round (except Fife Public Holidays) at the Townhill Community Centre Studio on the days / times shown:

  • Monday 10 – 12am
  • Tuesday 6.30 – 9pm
  • Wednesday 10 – 4pm
  • Wednesday 6.30 – 9pm
  • Thursday 12 – 3pm
Although historically, Mondays placed an emphasis on pastel work, Wednesday evenings concentrated on watercolour and Thursdays focussed predominantly on oil painting, there is no restriction on using any particular medium at any session. New members however may find mutual support and encouragement in their favoured medium at a specific session as outlined here.

The club does not provide specific tuition on a routine basis. However, demonstrations and workshops by guest and visiting artists are a regular feature in the club’s social calendar.

Our programme of events is constantly under review, and members who have suggestions for future demonstrations or workshops may pass their ideas for consideration to a member of the committee. (Note that the permanent position of club Programme Co-ordinator is currently vacant). Additionally, we would be delighted to hear from any artists who would like to hold a workshop or give a demonstration at the club premises. Please feel free to get in touch via the website “Contact Us” page with contact details, availability and proposals.
