Only four days left of our 2018 Annual Exhibition in the Kingsgate Centre, Dunfermline where almost 200 paintings are on show. Here are a couple of photographs from the event. Additional photos also on our Facebook page.
During it’s 135th year, Dunfermline Art Club Annual Exhibition gets underway at the Kingsgate Shopping Centre in Dunfermline on Monday (25th June). This years exhibition will feature almost 200 paintings (almost all for sale) together with a selection of cards, prints and craft items and will remain open through Sunday 1st July. We hope you’ll enjoy the artwork on offer.
A previous notification posted here on 14th March gave details about our “Dunfermline and West Fife” themed Exhibition which will run through until October in the Dunfermline Carnegie Library Community Gallery. The Club is delighted to announce that Gillian Parsons from Fife Cultural Trust will formally open the Exhibition at a Preview Event in the Gallery on Saturday 7th July from 1.30 until 3.00 pm.
The Club Gallery in Unit 22 Kingsgate Shopping Centre, will soon be accepting members submissions for the next Gallery hanging period which will run from 12th July through 25th August. New exhibits will be accepted during normal Gallery opening hours (12-4 pm on Thursday 5th, Friday 6th and Saturday 7th July). Paintings will be hung on Tuesday 10th July in advance of the Gallery re-opening on 12th. A maximum five pictures may be submitted and it has been agreed that although the hanging fee will remain at £2 per picture, where four pictures are paid for, the fifth will be hung for free.
Members please note that the same paintings may not be exhibited in the Gallery on consecutive hanging periods. Unsold items from the previous hanging period should be collected from the Gallery at the earliest convenient opportunity.
Further to the post on 19th May, once all the Calendar entries have been received on 13th June, voting to select the paintings which will feature in the Club Calendar for 2019 will take place over 3rd and 4th July at Townhill where photographs (and/or originals) of of all the entries will be displayed.
