For July and August, Dunfermline Art Club have a new show at their gallery in the Kingsgate Centre. There is a wide selection of recent paintings, drawings, prints and cyanotypes to browse and enjoy, all created by members of our club.

All work is for sale and club members at the Gallery are available to give more information about any of the artworks if needed. We are also happy to pass on any enquiries to a specific artist.
The Gallery co-ordinator is Lesley Inglis who is assisted by other volunteer club members, who also staff the premises during opening times. For convenience, credit and debit cards, as well as cash, are accepted as a means of payment for all purchases.

” I have tried out most of the different painting media available and I recognise that each have their own merits, but my personal preference is oil paints, although for the convenience of it, I generally now use acrylic paints. Work is usually done on canvas covered boards in preference to wooden framed canvases or paper. Figurative subjects and portraits feature largely in what I do, as I feel it’s all about painting what I enjoy as opposed to painting what I think someone else might like. To a lesser extent I also do landscapes, with an emphasis on architectural subjects. The style is what I would describe as “representational”, as it depicts, hopefully, things that are generally recognisable. I have been a member of Dunfermline Art Club since 2012 and previously served on the Club Committee for most of that period.
