The George Aitken Award was introduced for last year’s Winter Exhibition where the public was invited to vote for their favourite painting featured in the exhibition. The award is so named in honour of the late George Aitken, an acclaimed and accomplished artist who was also a former President of the club.
Our 2024 Exhibition has just ended, and of the 140 paintings on display, the public voted for the excellent “Cascade” in oils, by Annette Burgess to be the winning painting. Many congratulations to Annette.

Last month we visited your exhibition in the hall in Dunfermline and were very interested in the artworks which were shown,but couldn’t take some with us on the flight, so thanks for letting me know, kind regards! Elly
