Members of Dunfermline Art Club have been invited to attend a Portrait Painting Workshop to be held in the premises of Dalgety Bay Art Club on Saturday 12th July. Details shown below taken from an email promoting the event.
Karen Van de Graaf
Portrait Saturday Workshop in Watercolour
On Saturday 12th July
From 10- 2.00 pm
Maximum Attendees 15
Karen van de Graaf will be showing us how to make highly colourful portraits using watercolours in this half day workshop. We will be working both from a photograph (as a warm up) and directly from life with a model. Karen will do several detailed demonstrations during the session and as always will come around to give you tips about your own paintings “next steps” during the lesson. Set to be a day of fun and learning all wrapped up in one!
Limited to 15 pupils. Karen’s portrait experience spans over 8 years. She’s often a Fringe Portrait Artist on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh. Karen painted Sir Lenny Henry during a Sky Arts event and held her first solo exhibition in Edinburgh in 2024. She is often invited back to art clubs, due to her ability to do and explain at the same time. Plus she is really keen to share her knowledge with others.
