The winner of the public vote for best painting in our recent Winter Exhibition was Alison Chalmers’s portrait “Proximo” (Oliver Reed in the film Gladiator)) with 33 votes out of the 500 votes cast. Peter Atherton and R S Henry’s paintings came next, tied with 21 votes each
